About Isadora

Isadora is a police reporter for the Austin American-Statesman in Texas. Read her work here.

She grew up in Brownsville, Texas, where Spanish was her native language. After graduating high school, she attended the University of Texas at Brownsville, and focused on getting an associate's degree in Spanish. 

Isadora moved to Austin in 2001 and went to Texas State University-San Marcos, where she was named journalism student of the year in 2005. She graduated in 2005 with a B.A. in Print Journalism.

If Isadora isn't cooking or reading, you will surely find her practicing Yoga, running or swimming. Or curled up inside her apartment with her cat, Cielo, watching The Wire and The Office.
